Temsilî Anlatım Bağlamında Kur’an’da Yağmur

One of the distinctive features of the Qur’anic linguistic style is its depiction of abstract concepts and topics through tangible representations and parables that appeal to the senses. In the Qur’an, a symbolic style is clearly seen to explain unseen topics, which means explaining ideas through symbolic language and exemplification. Abstract concepts such as paradise, hell, and the afterlife are depicted as vivid pictures by being represented with concrete examples taken from real life. Accordingly, rain, a natural phenomenon, has been used as an instrument for understanding certain abstract concepts and events. This study aims to identify verses in the Qur’an that contain examples related to rain, using symbolism. In this study, document analysis was used to examine Qur’anic verses that refer to rain and collect data. The theoretical development phase of the study was conducted using the inductive method. The data obtained were analyzed using the content analysis method. In this context, the concept of symbolism and the symbolic style of the Qur’an were first discussed, followed by an examination of the verses in which rain is used as a symbol. The study found that using metaphors and representations involving rain, divine messages on topics such as the transience of worldly life, resurrection after death, the distinction between truth and falsehood, and the situations of hypocrites and those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah were made more comprehensible to the recipients.

Kur’an dil üslûbunun belirgin niteliklerinden biri, mücerred kavram ve konuların duyulara hitap eden müşahhas temsil ve mesellerle anlatılmasıdır. Kur’an’da, özellikle gaybî konular, bir düşünceyi sembolik bir dil ve örneklendirmelerle açıklama anlamına gelen temsil üslûbuyla anlatılmıştır. Cennet, cehennem ve ahiret gibi soyut gerçekler, gerçek hayattan alınan somut örneklerle temsil edilerek, canlı tablolar halinde betimlenmiştir. Bu bağlamda, doğal bir olay olan yağmur, bazı soyut olgu ve olayların anlaşılmasında temsil aracı olarak kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışma, Kur’an’da temsil sanatı kullanılarak yağmurla ilgili örnekleri içeren âyetleri tespit etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesiyle veriler elde edilerek, yağmur içerikli Kur’ân âyetleri analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmanın kuram/teori oluşturma aşaması, tümevarım metoduyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin tahlili ise içerik analizi yöntemiyle yorumlanmıştır. Bu çerçevede, önce temsil kavramı ve Kur’an’daki temsilî anlatım ele alınmış; ardından yağmurun temsil aracı olarak kullanıldığı âyetler incelenmiştir. Çalışmada, dünya hayatının geçiciliği, öldükten sonra tekrar dirilme, hak-bâtıl ayrımı, münafıkların ve malını Allah yolunda harcayanların durumu gibi konularda, yağmurla yapılan teşbih ve temsillerle, ilâhî mesajların muhataplar için daha anlaşılır kılındığı tespit edilmiştir.
